I think the skies over Tujunga are so dramatic because of the mountains. This is a recent painting that depicts that phenomena.

katherine, beautiful! You certainly do have a connection with the "sky".... : ) I love the impasto light in the clouds, really brings the sky to life.....oh yes, "fat over lean", silly me : )
