This is a painting that I finished right before my last visit to Big Sur. This was inspired during another trip to that area. It has elements in common with that coastal area, although it is a made up image, not an actual location.

I had to contemplate this painting for a day and I really like it a lot. I get two feelings when I ponder it. One is that I feel like I'm looking up from some watery depth and seeing their slight illusions through the surface. The other is almost like it's a dream. I love trees, I feel very connected to them and think you have a special connection as well.
