Blogger does not have this function but you can still put links in your comments. To do so requires adding just a few more characters:
Let’s say for example that I wanted to put a link to this post about a hike up to Mount Hollywood in a comment. The url of the link is http://katherinekean.blogspot.com/2006/07/mount-hollywood-on-4th-of-july.html I would then add this in front of the url:
And this after the url:
And it will come out as a clickable text link:
Mount Hollywood on the 4th of July

Thank you for the tip. I am trying to do this but it isn't working for me. I was able to make the words a text link but when I clicked on it, it says that error 404, page not found. Any idea what I may be doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry it isn't working. In my experience I usually find that I've missed something in the code - or added something that shouldn't be there. It's also necessary to have permanent links enabled on your blog, if that's what you're linking to.
I looked at your blog and it does seem to have the permanent links, so I'm not sure what the problem might be.
I liked your blog very much, by the way - wonderful photographs. I also like that you have "Christian the Lion" as one of your favorites. I guess it's not available on YouTube anymore, but can be had on Amazon.
